Welcome, space explorer
This is the fun part below the ship. Walk on the Moon, float in the zero-gravity room, find the Big Dipper, and beat the memory game. Follow the yellow path or tap a sign.
Walk on the Moon
Gravity here is one sixth of Earth's, so every jump is a giant leap. Collect the 10 moon rocks, plant the flag, say hi to the aliens, and drive the rover. Arrows walk, the pink button does the thing.

The floating room
On the space station nothing has a floor. Flick things with your finger, then flip GRAVITY on and watch everything crash down. Tap a floating thing to hear why it floats.
The real night sky
Every dot is a real star in its real place. Drag to look around, pinch or scroll to zoom, and tap a star picture to make it pop. Discover mode tours them one by one. Projector mode turns the room into a planetarium.
Where the planets are right now
This is not pretend. The planets are drawn at their real positions for today, worked out with the same math NASA uses. Press FAST to watch a year go by, drag the slider to time-travel, tap a planet to learn about it.
Zoom out. Keep going.
Start at our Sun and zoom out until the whole solar system is a dot, then past the nearest stars, out of our spiral galaxy, and all the way to Andromeda. Scroll, pinch, or use the buttons. Tap anything with a name.
Space memory match
One card asks a question, another card has the answer. Find the pairs. Finish a level to unlock the next one.
Meet the planets
Tap a planet card to hear its story. Then try the quiz. Every fact here is real.
Space photo booth
Take a selfie on the Moon, next to Jupiter, or hugging an alien. Pick a background, add your friends, put on a helmet, and download the picture. The camera never leaves your device.
Pick a ship
Every ship flies the same, but they do not look the same. Pick one and the rocket up top changes.
Real space, from the real experts
When you are ready for more, these are real NASA pages made for kids. They open in a new tab.
🛰️ NASA’s live solar system
This is NASA’s real map. Every planet and spacecraft is exactly where it is right now.
Grown-ups: these links leave Phoenix's World. They are official NASA sites with no ads. Everything on this page stays free, with nothing collected.
